Welcome to the Aleza Field Education Centre, located within the Aleza Lake Research Forest also known as The Learning Forest. The management and operation of the Forest is devoted to education and research with respect to sustainable forest management, silviculture, and forest ecology.
Set atop a hill looking out over the upper Fraser River area to the north, the AFEC is immersed in the quiet of the working forest, offering a true outdoor experience. Designed to facilitate field courses, research and other training events, the AFEC is also perfect for hosting meetings, retreats, training, school field trips, and other related events.
Visit the Aleza Lake Research Forest to learn more about the services offered to support learning.
ALRF staff would be happy to talk to you about how they can support your learning project or event.

The Aleza Lake Research Forest has much to offer in the way of learning, sight-seeing, and field tours. And our staff are always happy to show off the place! The forest is a mix of white spruce, Lodgepole pine and Douglas-fir with a mix of other species in a variety of age classes. Whether you're looking for research sites, or a learning opportunity, a great place to start is a forest tour.
